After first achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification, the museum successfully implemented and recertified the ISO 9001:2015 standards in 2024. The Quality Management System is now being restructured to better reflect the museum´s scientific, cultural, and technical complexity.

Awarded by the Provincial Directorate of Quality Services, this certificate recognizes MAAM´s strong performance in public service management and commitment to the Provincial Quality Plan.

The museum received this award for achieving high standards of excellence in institutional management and for its work in preserving the three Inca Children of Llullaillaco with high technology.
